Student Parent Showcase and Spotlight

We are seeking current student parents and alumni to highlight during the month of October to bring awareness to student parents at MSU! The Student Parent Resource Center will develop a newsletter and have a display case for the weeks of October 9 and October 16, 2017 in the Student Services Building on campus featuring information on life as a student parent, SPOM and resources available to student parents at MSU. We believe in honoring student parents and educating campus and community networks on the contributions of student parents while at MSU and beyond. We hope you will consider nominating and/or submitting your information for our showcase. Please review the information below and let us know if you have any questions.

Currently Enrolled Student Parents-please submit:

1. Family Photo (8 x 10 or electronic suitable for printing)
2. Major/Graduation Semester & Year/Career Plans/Other community and MSU involvement
3. Please answer: What do you want people to understand about being a student parent at MSU? Best thing about being a student parent? Challenges as a student parent?
4. One major accomplishment
5. List/describe helpful services at MSU for student parents and any needed services

Alumni Student Parents-please submit:

1. Family Photo (8 x 10 or electronic suitable for printing)
2. Degree & Year, MSU and/or community involvement, post-graduation certificates
3. Current Career/Future Plans
4. Reflection: Best thing(s) about being a student parent? Challenges as a student parent?
5. List/describe helpful services at MSU for student parents and any needed services
