Spartan Kids Child Care Grant

The Student Parent Resource Center was successful with applying for federal funding through the Department of Education, Childcare Access Means Parents in Schools (CCAMPIS) program for four years!

The Spartan Kids Grant Application will open up 30 days before the start of each academic school year.  MSU students must be Pell grant eligible or be graduate or professional student who would otherwise be eligible using Pell grant income guidelines. Students must be enrolled in a degree granting program at MSU, not have a stay-at-home parent or provider and have their child enrolled in one of the nine affiliated licensed and accredited home or child care centers.

For Fall semester 2021; applications will be available for MSU undergraduate and Pell Grant eligible students beginning Monday, July 12, 2021.  It will open up on Monday, July 19, 2021 for ALL students.

Spartan Kids Grant spaces are filled on a first-come-first-served basis. A copy of your Pell Grant Award or financial statements must accompany each application to determine eligibility.

You are encouraged to contact the Michigan Department of Human Services Child Care Assistance Program for information on possible child care support and the MSU Office of Financial Aid for additional information.


Student parents applying for the 2021-22 Spartan Kids Grant must complete the SK 21-22Form and return it (with either a copy of your Pell Grant Award or financial statements) to the Student Parent Resource Center located in the University Village Community Center — 1199 Garden City Road Room 107, East Lansing, MI 48823 or by email to sprc@msu.edu.
